Turn Key Solutions

Turn-Key Solutions for Waste, Energy and the Environment
Integra is committed to delivering superior energy-from-waste solutions as well as alternate energy modalities with above-standard environmental benefits to industries, governments and their communities in North America and abroad. Integra licenses, sells and can provide staff to operate Integra’s sophisticated hybrid systems and technologies that convert waste into energy that may be used to generate electric power.

Our technology, system, provides sustainable, reliable and economical solutions for managing solid waste streams, such as municipal garbage, as well as for the effective remediation of contaminated landfill sites. Integra's system can safely destroy over 300 of the world’s most dangerous contaminants and can safely eradicate medical, pharmaceutical and military wastes.

Waste and energy are the two main components of the world’s sustainability/environment crisis. Integra’s energy-from-waste technology addresses these issues by producing green energy to electricity and by virtually eliminating the need for landfill, both of which contribute to the significant reduction of greenhouse gas. And, Integra is one of the only companies in the world positioned to deploy proven EFW technology that is certified by the world’s most stringent environment protection agency, the United States EPA. Our technology is certified by this agency in all nine regions and is also approved by the Ontario Ministry of Environment.

EPA certification takes years of development and testing to meet strict guidelines for a minimum destruction rate of 99.9999%, which the system exceeds many times.

Energy From Waste Conversion
From Non-Usable to Usable Energy

Toxic Wastes:

Integra is the first choice for remediating contaminated landfill sites as our proven technology can destroy 307 of the world's most lethal toxins safely and more costefficiently than any other system available. The technology has a proven 99.99999%
Destruction Removal Efficiency with sterilized ash and steam being the only by-products. We design and tailor systems for landfill gas recovery, and to treat any medical, pharmaceutical and industrial hazardous wastes at the source.

The system is able to operate in a fixed-base environment at a permanent location or may be transported to new locations. The fixed-base operating environment is intended for long-term conversions and is housed inside a building. A transportable system can be moved, assembled and operated either at a contaminated site or in the vicinity of high volume, stored contaminated materials. Once the site is converted and the materials are remediated, the entire system can be relocated.

Municipal Wastes

Integra partners with communities to provide energy-from-waste systems that they can be proud of: we deliver the most environmentally-friendly, cost-efficient and safe waste recovery solutions while also making provision for profit centers through the
co-generation of electricity. Our standards and technology exceed the world's most stringent regulations set out by the EPA. And, by diverting waste from landfills and eliminating longdistance hauling, a highly significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions are cut out of the waste disposal equation. As part of our commitment to operating with full respect to the environment, Integra also partners with top engineering/architectural firms to house our systems in environmentally-pleasing, state-of-the-art structures.

Recovered energy is used to co-generate electricity that may be used locally, or sold to the power grid. Therefore, the capital costs for an integrated energy-from-waste system can be recouped from one to three years, based on a number of factors such as the size of the facility, tipping fees, and the operating efficiency ratio.

How Integra's system works

The technology literally converts energy from one form to another. The system was designed and developed in the United States. The technology's operating process has been enhanced by engineers and can be summarized as follows:
  1. Waste is transported to the facility where it is prepared. It enters the system's primary chamber, which vaporizes the energy-laden waste at high thermal thresholds and starts an energy cascade that results in the formation of fuel gases much like natural gas.
  2. These reformed gases enter a second chamber where they are thermodynamically balanced to supply thermal units to the system's co-generator.
  3. The treated soil and/or other materials are recovered, verified and classified for reuse.
  4. The technology generates billions of British Thermal Units (btus) of thermal energy. During
the conversion cascade, this energy is harnessed by means of electrical co-generation.The system is a continuous feed conversion that allows for greater operational efficiency and an extremely high conversion capacity.
System Safeguards

The key process flow measurements are real-time continuous. The instrumentation is designed to monitor temperatures, pressures, waste flow/feed rates, oxygen concentration and thermal cascade efficiency facilitating mass balance. Integra system is equipped with an automatic feed shut off safeguard system that instantly stops all waste feeds to the converter should any pre-set conditions not be met.

Technology
Technology for a Cleaner Environment

With vast modernization and rapid urban expansion, waste and environmental surroundings are more complex today than ever before. Rubber, plastics, heavy metals (i.e. mercury), radioactive materials, infectious and hazardous wastes are no longer hear-says but become part of our everyday life, not mentioning all those toxic remnants accumulated through our
past.

Integra will respond to your situation and requirements intelligently and innovatively. The expertise of our multi-disciplined engineers will formulate and provide result oriented solutions to tackle a multitude of problems affiliated with municipal wastes and hazardous contaminants, sludge, soil and water pollutions, chemical and oil spills. Most of our systems can be equipped for energy productions such as heat, hot water, steam, electricity and other processes.

It is our goal and our commitment to turn your environmental compliances into financial investments. As a full service system, Integra's emphasis is on safety proceedings and programs to eradicate our client's risks:
  • Comprehensive examination and analysis of each individual case
  • Strategy formulation and creation
  • Solution development & deployment
  • Full-life Quality Control protocols
Areas of Specialization
  • MSW and waste processing and elimination/electrical systems
  • Sewage and sludge treatment and minimization
  • AFO (Animal Feeding Operation)
  • Air pollution controls and minimization
  • Hazardous waste processing and elimination
  • Medical waste processing and elimination
Approvals and Agreements

The legal aspects complete the final steps of the process with the necessary approvals and agreements, such as utility tie-in to the grid, filing of applications with government agencies, and approvals by the land or site operators to access specific sites. Integra's in-house council capably manages these tasks.
